Syd turned 8 Months old on Sunday. As I sat eating my tea, it dawned on me that I had turned into a Slummy Mummy.
My hair was shoved out of the way in two plaits (A hairstyle I have been sporting since Syd was born and commenced throwing up around the clock).
I was wearing maternity leggings which were so big they fell down as I walked up the stairs.
I was wearing the tent-like jumper dress, which I had stretched to within an inch of it's life by wearing it through TWO pregnancies.
I was also wearing no make up.
Now in all honesty, I have never been one for wearing make up every day. I have really sensitive skin, and am prone to dry skin patches too, so I tend to look worse with it on. I am currently surviving on about 2 hours sleep a night though, so make up is definitely needed. I look grey, and my eyes look like they belong to a frail old lady. I may be approaching 30, but I don't need to look like death, surely?
So... My question today is... What is your 1 life saving make up item? The quick fix which helps you look (or feel) more human?
Should I buy a good concealer? Or one of those caffeine eye roller ball thingiemybobs? Or should I buy coffee and bin the make up idea off, as realistically my chances of applying it are slim anyways?

Invest in a good blusher! It's my saviour!! I use mac but that may not be so good on sensitive skin. It makes me look perky as awake when I feel like death ha! And I've never worn concealer or foundation in the day as it clogs pores but I have heard the caffeine roller things are good! Or good old cucumber?!?? Xx

A bb cream, it's a moisturiser with a good spf and foundation all in one tube. It takes seconds to apply and you will cover up those bags, moisturize those dry patches and bring some colour back to your face. I don't leave home without it on.

5 things, less that 5 minutes.
1) a BB cream, slap it on like moisturiser
2) a nice blush, not too dark, something in a nice fresh pinky rose colour.
3) a dark brown eyeliner.
4) mascara
5) a nice sheer lipstick.
Makes you look human without looking like your trying too hard, is forgiving and can be done in minimal time!

I only wear makeup when I'm getting dolled up for a night out but I think a nice lipgloss and mascara will always be my go to items. I too have sensitive skin so can only wear clinique's lightest powder foundation, but as soon as I get a little warm or embarrassed I get flushed anyway so I don't really see the point!
my mum used to be a top Avon rep and always told me to pick out your best feature and highlight it!
