When I was little, one of my favourite books was “My Naughty Little Sister,” written by Dorothy Edwards. I first heard the stories when I was 5 years old, and a supply teacher in school read one to us. I remember thinking the books could well have been written by one of my own older sisters, as “My naughty little sister” reminded me so much of myself.
Not long after first discovering “My Naughty Little Sister,” my older sister received a copy of the book for her birthday. I remember being really jealous, and I would often sneak the book under my duvet and read it in secret. (My sister wasn’t a big fan of sharing).
I forgot about these amazing stories until fairly recently when BookTrust got me thinking about books I loved as a child. I immediately downloaded the Kindle version of My Naughty Little Sister, and Syd and I started reading it. Syd is almost 6 now, and loves reading. She found My Naughty Little Sister’s adventures hilarious, and frequently asks to read more of the stories.
With that in mind, I decided to launch a “read with me” youtube series, where I read the stories so everyone can enjoy them. Why not watch the first video here…?
