If you read my blog often, you’ll be well aware we have 2 crazy boxer dogs – Monty and Minnie. They are such characters, they even have their own social media channels, where I share all of their adventures and mischief. (They have more followers than I do, which I don’t know whether to laugh or cry about)! When I was asked by Hotter Shoes to review a pair of their boots as part of their Hotter Walkies campaign, I jumped at the chance!
I have practically lived in the Kendal Boots I was sent to review last year. I’m pleased to say they have kept my feet dry for well over 12 months. They have walked hundreds of miles though, and are definitely looking worse for wear now. I opted for the Melody Boots in Black this time, as they looked to be warm but still very stylish. I was not disappointed!
The boots are real leather and fully lined with faux fur. The leather is soft and they are super comfortable from day 1. I have been stopped several times in the past week from people asking about the boots. I’ll definitely be wearing them on all the cold, crips Autumn and Winter morning walks – by far my favourite kind!
The dogs seem to approve of my new boots and love to stop and sniff them – in between causing mischief anyway! Minnie hit a new highest score of dog drool placement when we went for a walk earlier this week…
Hotter Melody Boots
The Melody boots are available in UK sizes 3 to 9, with half sizes available between 4.5 and 7.5 – perfect for me and my size 7.5 feet! The boots have an RRP of £99. They are well made and are worth the price tag, in my opinion… Especially when you consider they were made in the UK and not some third world sweat shop, where staff are paid a pittance.
The boots have a zip on the inner side, and they feature two buckles – which are just for show. They don’t have removable insoles, but are really comfy to wear. I’ve walked over 20 miles in the boots now, and my feet have remained warm, dry and comfortable – not a blister in sight – YAY!
What Did I Think?
The boots are great for dry days. I wouldn’t wear them when it’s wet, though. This is because I wouldn’t like trying to clean mud from the stitching or seams. They are definitely my new favourite boots though. The Melody boots are available in 3 colours… Black (which I got, Chestnut (which are Brown Leather) or Gunmetal (which is Grey Suede).
The heel is approximately 1 inch high, and the toe area has plenty of wiggle room. The sole is Polyurethane, and while they are 1 inch high, you don’t feel like it. I would highly recommend them. You can find out more about the Melody boots here. Don’t forget, Hotter have a 100% happy policy. If for any reason you’re not 100% happy, you have 90 days to send your order back for a refund or exchange. I’m confident mine will see me walk miles and miles with this pair over the Autumn and Winter months this year and beyond, thanks to the amazing comfort, durability and style!
