Racist attack on a baby in Teesside IS A HOAX

(The offending image is at the bottom of this blog post).

Today, I have seen several people sharing a story about a white baby being attacked by an Asian youth in Teesside over the weekend. The story is A HOAX! (see it in full, below)

How do I know it is a hoax? Well…

1). Cleveland Police say no such incident has been reported on their Facebook Page.

2). The image used in the article was stolen from another website – the same image was actually used here in 2009! (A quick reverse image lookup found this)!

3). The story is almost identical to another TRUE incident which happened in 2005, where a white youth attacked an Asian baby in the street. The hoax article is basically a copy and paste of the original BBC News story – which you can view HERE. The hoax story even uses the same Street names and Police officer names. Only the victim and attacker’s race and the victim’s age and family names have been changed.

I have already seen it being shared by the Bolton BNP. Please folks – let’s stop sharing the hoax! Spread the word and let people know that no baby was attacked in Teesside over the weekend!

If you want to see the original article, I have posted a screenshot of it below. I am not linking to the original website (The Daily Bale – a wordpress blog) because I don’t want to add fuel to the fire!

The photo used in the hoax article is somebody’s child. I cannot begin to imagine how somebody could “steal” an image of an injured child to use to fuel their lies.

For the record, I am White. I hate all forms of discrimination, and am
completely disgusted that somebody has gone to the trouble of making up
this story.

Racism is disgusting. Let’s not fuel the fire!
