It’s no secret I’m a big fan of shoes. I have more pairs of footwear than I do outfits to go with them. When I received a pair of Kendal Boots from Hotter to review, I was more than a little excited!

I have to be honest – it took me AGES to decide which colour to go for. They are available in Navy, Brown, Red and Black. It was the Red and Black options which I was “umming and ahhing” over.

I wanted the boots for the school run / walking our new Puppy Monty, so practicality won out, and I opted for the Black pair.

I am an ever so awkward size 7.5, so I love that Hotter offer half sizes. The boots have an RRP of £99.99 but they are built to last!

The boots are super comfy, and the leather is supple and cocooned my feet immediately. The inserts are super comfortable too. I love that they look like Chelsea Boots from the outside, thanks to the elasticated panel, but have a sneaky hidden zip on the inside. There’s not a great deal of grip on the soles (as the image below shows), but they’ll be fine for the school run and for walking the dog round the park.

I love that the boots are protected by waterproof Gore-Tex technology, so your feet will stay dry in the rain. They are breathable as well, so sweaty feet wasn’t an issue for me. The boots aren’t fleece lined, so while they are perfect for Autumn, I will probably wear Hiking Boots in Winter as they offer more grip and space for thermal socks.

The sole has an air bubble hidden inside, so it literally feels like you’re walking on air, and the boots are really light on your feet too. The insoles are cushioned, and also removable.

They are available in UK sizes 3-9, with many half sizes available too. The heel is approximately 1 inch high, and the toe area is boxed, so there’s plenty of wiggle room. Honestly… I am really impressed with them and they’ve had several compliments from people already.

If you’d like to read more or treat yourself to a pair, you can do so here.

I was sent these boots to review, but all words and opinions are my own.
