Meal Planning Monday 13-5-13

Today is the start of Tefal’s Fresh Week.

I blogged last week about my pledge to take part in Tefal’s Fresh Week. Basically, I am ditching all processed foods (except Quorn) for 7 days, in a bid to eat fresher, healthier food.

This is my meal plan:

Breakfasts will all be home made bread, toasted or museli for DaddyGeek and I. Weetabix, Shreddies or toast for the kids. (We bake all our own bread because our daughter has milk and Soya allergies, so most off the shelf stuff is unsuitable for her).

Lunches this week will be sandwiches, home made soup and egg based dishes (boiled egg & soldiers, scrambled egg on toast, etc).

Evening meals will be:

Monday: Baked potato with home made coleslaw and cheese, with salad for DaddyGeek and I. Chicken, Roast carrots and parsnips, and broccoli for the kids.

Tuesday: Mediterranean Quorn Chicken Pieces and rice. (With peppers, onions, sweetcorn, peas, mushrooms in a tomato sauce with herbs and garlic). (Real Chicken for the kids).

Wednesday: Dairy Free Spanish Omelette with salad and butternut squash chips. 

Thursday: DaddyGeek’s Sweet n Sour Quorn Chicken, and Rice (with Chicken for the kids).

Friday: Mediterranean Stir Fried Veg with Quorn Fillets for DaddyGeek and I, with Braising Steak for the kids. 

Saturday: Egg Salad with spicy actifry wedges.

Sunday: Roast dinner with Beef for the kids, Quorn Steak Strips for DaddyGeek and I.

I have to make different meals for us all so often because I am vegetarian and my daughter, Syd is allergic to Dairy and Soya, so can’t have most Quorn stuff.

So there you have it… Our plan of action for Fresh Week!
