If you are a regular reader of my blog, you’ll know I moved house recently. When my husband and I separated, he kept most of the furniture. So when I was asked to do a VonHaus Black Single Bed Review, I was happy to agree. Read on to find out what I thought.
VonHaus Black Single Bed Review
With an RRP of £51.99, the VonHaus Black Single Bed is amazingly well priced. It arrived in a really small box. So small, the delivery man refused to believe it was a bed. He checked his van 3 times to make sure there wasn’t a second box somewhere. Look how few pieces there were compared to the A4 instructions!
Assembling The VonHaus Black Single Bed
As I have come to expect with Vonhaus products, the instructions were easy to follow. Additionally, the pieces were all well made and all of the holes were in the right place. So lining up the pieces was a breeze! It took my 7 year old daughter and I an hour to put the bed together. Once assembled, it looked like this…
The bed has a contemporary look, but feels incredibly sturdy. My biggest concern about this metal frame bed was that it would be squeaky. However, after 3 weeks of use, I am happy to report the bed does not squeak, despite my 8 year old son bouncing on it – a lot!
(My son is Autistic and bounces a lot as a form of stimming). This is how he came to need a new bed in the first place. I made the rookie mistake of buying him a wooden bed, and he broke it on night one in the new house. I’d definitely recommend the VonHaus Black Single Bed as a strong bed for autistic kids.
My Thoughts
The bed feels really well made, and it feels built to last. Additionally, I love that there are 4 bars which hold the mattress (and duvet) in place…
All told, I highly recommend the VonHaus Black Single Bed, and would definitely recommend it as a great option for people looking for a spare bed, or something which will handle bouncing better than a wooden bed will.
