Once I got over the shock of how many newspapers are included with the 12 month Readly subscription, I had a look at the magazines. Once again, I was surprised at how many magazine publications are included in the subscription.
I’ve been making good use of my Readly subscription. I did a lot of work in my garden over the Summer, and read tons of Gardener’s World and Grow Your Own magazines on the app. Now the weather is turning, I’ve been reading more of the festive food magazines. Great British Food, Good Food Christmas and Good Food Vegetarian are my three most recent foodie reads.
I’ve just bought a Ninja Air Fryer though, so I suspect the Airfryer Cookbook will be getting read this week too.

Is a 12 Month Readly Subscription Good Value for Money?
If you buy a newspaper every day, the monthly fee of £12.99 works out much cheaper than buying a physical copy. The Independent newspaper costs £1.40 per issue. So over a year, that’s £511 or £42.58 per month. That’s more than 3x the cost of Readly.
The Daily Mirror newspaper £1.70 on weekdays, £2.50 on Saturdays and £2.80 on Sundays. That’s £13.30 per week, or £691.60 a year, which broken down into months is £57.63 per month. So Readly is over £44 per month cheaper than buying a physical copy of the Daily Mirror every day.
When you factor in the fact you can also read thousands of other newspapers and magazines as well, it becomes obvious just how incredible the Readly price point really is.
