Until today, I had never visited a Hard Rock Cafe. This is really shocking, as I am a huge Indie / Rock music fan, so it’s right up my street. When I was asked to review the Mother’s Day Menu At Hard Rock Cafe Manchester, I was very excited! I headed down with Bex from clearlybex.co.uk. The Manchester branch is located on the exterior of the Printworks, right opposite Manchester Arndale Centre. It is sandwiched between two Metrolink stops – Shudehill and Exchange Square, so it’s easy to get to!
Mother’s Day Menu At Hard Rock Cafe Manchester
This year, Hard Rock Cafe Manchester have pulled together an amazing set menu for Mother’s Day, called Mum Rocks… I’m pleased to say there’s something for everyone on there!
We spoke to the manager about substitutes, and she said they were happy to make swaps where possible to cater for allergies. The Gluten Free menu is extensive, and well worth a browse! The set menu has two options – Two courses for £21.95 each or 3 courses for £25.95 each. Kids meals are £8.45 each, and each child gets an activity pack, plus the chance to make a Mother’s Day card as well! Each adult meal includes either a glass of Prosecco, or if you’re not drinking, you can swap that for a Mocktail or soft drink instead.
There are 3 starters to choose from on the Mum Rocks Set Menu…
The Lil’ Wings are jumbo Chicken wings, coated with The Hard Rock Cafe’s signature smoked dry rub. They are then slow roasted and served with blue cheese dip. You can opt for Classic Rock, Signature BBQ, Heavy Metal sauces or dry seasoned wings. Bex opted for these, with the BBQ seasoning…
The Lil’ House Salad is pretty self explanatory… A House salad!
The Third option is Lil’ Bruschetta – which I opted for! It was delicious! I loved that it wasn’t cheese – tastic like some bruschetta can be!
Main Course Options…
When it comes to the main course, there are lots of choices…
The Legendary Burger, Grilled Salmon, Herb Grilled Chicken, Twisted Mac, Chicken & Cheese Pasta all sound amazing. So do the California style Cobb Salad, Chicken Caesar salad and Veggie burger, though! I opted for the Vegetarian Fajitas, and I wasn’t disappointed! My first plate was crammed with salad, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and 4 wraps the size of side plates. I was then given a sizzling platter, loaded with smoking peppers, onions, mushrooms and other veggies! It was amazing!
I managed to eat around 60% of my meal before declaring myself too full. My dinner date, Bex managed about the same amount of her California style Cobb salad. She said it was amazing though.
The included Dessert option is a lil’ brownie. Our amazing waiter, Simeon suggested we wait a while for our mains to settle before trying to squeeze in dessert – this was a good call! When our brownies were brought out, we were both concerned we wouldn’t find room for it…
Amazing, warm, melt in the mouth brownie… Ice Cream, cream, chocolate sauce, sprinkles and a cherry on top! It was amazing! Honestly, We were both too full to really appreciate this! Personally, I’d say two courses is plenty unless you have a really big appetite!
Included with the Mother’s Day menu at Hard Rock Cafe Manchester is a glass of Prosecco. As Bex and I were both driving, we opted for a Mocktail each instead. Bex opted for a Strawberry and Basil Lemonade (below, right), while I went for a Berrilicious (below, left)! Both were epic, but I preferred the Berrilicious!
If you book the Mother’s Day Menu at Hard Rock Cafe Manchester, Kids age 10 or under can eat from the kids menu. Each child gets an activity book, which fits in perfectly with the Hard Rock Cafe theme. On Mother’s Day there will also be a craft table set up for kids to make a Mother’s Day card for the special someone in their life, too!
A Surprise For Mum…
The team at Hard Rock Cafe Manchester have pulled out all the stops to help make the Mums feel special this Mother’s Day too… While stocks last, each Mum will get one of these fab gift bags…
Inside, there’s a small bottle of Molten Brown body wash, a Kiehl’s facial voucher and some Kiehl’s facial cream. These are only available while stocks last, so I’d definitely book your place now if you’re thinking of treating your Mum to the Mother’s Day Menu at the Hard Rock Cafe Manchester!
All told, Bex and I had a brilliant time. The food was amazing, the music and ambience was brilliant and our service was fantastic. If my own kids took me there for Mother’s Day, I’d be very happy indeed!
