Personalised Photo Gift Ideas for All Budgets

When it comes to finding the perfect personalised photo gift, you really don’t have to spend a fortune. Gifts come in all shapes and sizes, and some of the best ones cost the least, in my experience. So whether you want to splash out on photo books, or create a sentimental, low cost gift, there’s plenty of options within this post.

Framed Old Photograph

One of my favourite ever photo gifts was an old photo of my friend and I in our teens, which she had framed for my 21st birthday. The gift cost her around £3 for the frame, and that photo has sat on my sideboard for 20 years since then. Every now and then, she will buy me a new frame for “the photo”, to ensure it matches my decor. It really has been the gift that keeps on giving!

That said, one of the things I love to give to my family and friends are personalised photo books…

Personalised Photo Books

I’ve been creating photo books for years now. When my brother got married in 2003, they had a photo book made of their happy day for my late parents. It was full of photos of the happy couple, plus all of the guests who attended their wedding and reception. That personalised photo book was by far the best gift my parents ever received. My Dad would show it to everybody who visited!

Since then, I’ve made lots of them myself. I did one for my sister’s 40th birthday, which was packed with photos from our childhood and beyond. She adores it! This Christmas I’m thinking of making each of my kids personalised photo books, full of photos from their childhoods. You can get an A4 photo book from just £12 at www.my-picture.co.uk – They are fab quality too!

Photo Socks

The most unique of my photo gift ideas I’m sharing today is photo socks! I received two pairs of photo socks from my partner in 2020, and I loved them! I still wear them now, and they make me smile every time I see them!

Mine have got both of my dogs on them, and they definitely earned my boyfriend some brownie points! I’d say these are the most dopamine-inducing of my personalised photo gift ideas!

They have been well loved for the past 5 years, and have definitely seen better days, but I love them!

Canvas Photo Print

You can’t go wrong with a good quality canvas photo print. Whether you choose a collage, or a straight-up enlargement of a much-loved photo, there’s plenty of canvas options out there. You can get small canvas photo prints and create a mosaic wall-type display over time, or you could opt for a stunning large print, to really wow your intended recipient. There are so many options when it comes to photo gift ideas, and canvases are the tip of the iceberg.

Retro Style Disposable Camera

Another gift I love to pop into people’s Christmas gifts is a retro style disposable camera. There’s nothing quite like taking photos on a disposable camera, and then waiting a week for the photos to be returned to you. My niece and nephew loved these when I got them one each a couple of years ago. I feel like kids now get such instant gratification with phone cameras, so it’s good to teach them that it can be worth waiting to see the results.

If you do get these for people, remember to include information on where they can get it developed locally. I gave my niece and nephew the pennies to do that, too.
