Today I’m sharing all you need to know about Christmas at Bents. If you read my blog regularly, you’re probably aware that we have an allotment? It is managed by Bents Garden and Home – somewhere I spend a lot of time! When they invited me along to have a sneaky peek at their Christmas displays last weekend, I was very excited! Christmas at Bents is one of the best parts of the Christmas build up for me.

Christmas at Bents
My visit started with a very much needed pot of tea and this epic Danish pastry….

When we were lead into the Christmas display area, I was immediately wowed by this beautiful display…

I literally stood looking at this for a good 15 minutes, and said “wow” at least 5 times! Admittedly, I always spend hours (ok days) messing with my Christmas decorations until I am happy. I wonder how many people it takes to create stunning displays like the one above!
Where’s Rudolph?
I’m not sure Rudolph would be impressed that a gigantic Pegasus is the show stopper display piece… But the guests were definitely all as “wowed” as I was. Once I tore myself away from the Pegasus, I explored the gorgeous Christmas Tree ornaments. Here’s a few of my favourites…

There are so many different themes to choose from, you could easily spend hours perusing the displays. I’m a traditional decor fan, so the Victorian inspired pieces were my favourites. I especially loved the clip on “candle” Christmas tree lights. (Bottom – right in the above photo). The picture really doesn’t do them justice. The red and gold “Merry Christmas” ribbon ornament is definitely on my “must buy” list as well. (Bottom – left in the above photo).
Every year, we buy a new burble each. After much deliberation, I picked this one…

I am obsessed with Reindeer, so this was a no – brainer for me! The Tree ornaments weren’t the only things I wanted to buy though.
Every year, we drool over the Christmas Village displays in Bents. Additionally, every year we say we are going to start our own. I wonder if this year will actually see that tradition start for us…

I’m not really into The Nativity. Our Christmas celebrations are more about spending time with people you love, rather than about worship. If you’re looking for a new Nativity display, there’s several styles to choose from. Two of them are pictured above. Firstly, there’s a more traditional one, and there’s one which reminded me of Willow Tree ornaments.
This post is only scratching the surface of what is available in store. If you’re in the North West, it’s definitely worth a visit – Christmas at Bents won’t disappoint!
