This month, Leapfrog are celebrating everything Scout and Violet related, so it seemed like the perfect time to re-share my review of Read With Me Scout. I reviewed him for Toys R Us Topologist Program. Unfortunately Toys R Us are no longer around, so my full review disappeared.

Read With Me Scout

Read With Me Scout was welcomed into the house by both Sam and Sydney! I made this video demo to show how he worked, and thought I’d share it on my blog today.

Scout has been a firm favourite in our home for around 18 months now, and is still played with often. Sam in particular loves the books. We have lots of leapfrog toys, many of which feature Scout and Violet. This cuddly version is definitely the best to snuggle up with at bedtime though.

Scout is really endearing. He showers your little one with compliments in between stories, and he loves to be hugged and stroked almost as much as Syd loves cuddling him!

My Thoughts

Scout is also incredibly well thought out. He engages with non readers, and encourages a love of books by asking them to look at the pictures and answer questions based on what they can see. Older children can read along with Scout, as the words are in the books too.

The daytime and sleeptime modes are genius! Scout doesn’t engage with you when he is in night time mode – he just reads the story then gives you the option to listen to lulabies. (These last for 8 minutes).

Read With Me Scout is still a firm favourite in the Geek House! Happy Scout and Violet Month, Leapfrog!
