  31. A lovely elegant watch from my husband back when we first started out. Classic and I still wear it now.

  32. My best ever Xmas gift was a new wedding ring from my husband a couple of years ago. After having our children my wedding ring never fit me and I’d mentioned it to my hubby loads but he never got me a new one so I was in total shock when I opened that Xmas morning!!

  39. A mouse! (a real one). I’d been desperate for a pet for years and mum and dad finally conceded and “Bob” became my Christmas present. Still no idea why they decided on a mouse rather than a hamster, and I’d actually been begging for a gerbil as my friend had one! But no regrets at all, I loved that mouse

  40. A bus conductors ticket machine when I was little I loved it so much it always makes me smile when I think about it.

  41. We don’t celebrate it. But, the best gift I have received other than friends and family, was my first bike. It was given to me, when a child, by my best friend who had outgrown it. This gift led to a life long passion for cycling. I don’t ride roads, as they are way to busy for me, but I am in my happy place off road with my bike. 🏞️

  47. A long time ago we used to get an orange and nuts in their shells like walnuts, brazil nuts etc. in our Christmas stocking. That was a real treat.

  48. Wasn’t quite a Christmas present to start with, but I got a horse. Bear with me as it’s a bit of a long story. I was on a riding holiday and my parents had said that I could have a horse from there (if the owners agreed) for winter loan and if I coped in the cold weather and not as much riding, I could look for my own when the horse I loaned had to go back in the Spring. Luckily my favourite horse was available and as I holidayed a bit later on (near the end of the holiday season) I could take him home when I had finished my 2 week holiday. We had a great time as the weather wasn’t too bad so had loads of fun. Christmas Day came and I was told that before I opened any presents I had to go and sort Sunny out. So off we went to the stables only to find him stood there with a great big bow and a tag which said “Happy Christmas, do you like your present (me)”. My parents had bought Sunny for me!

  49. Mine was a baby doll. My sister had one and I desperately wanted one of my own. I was so happy on Christmas morning when I opened my present and there was a baby doll inside

  52. My wife agreeing to marry me on Christmas eve 40 years ago, and she also bought me my first cannon camera

  53. Set of plastic basins from my sister. They were so useful for many years – better than all the little knick nacks cluttering up the house !

  54. The best christmas present I ever got was my own tv and vcr player for my bedroom. The necklace is beautiful!

  55. The best Christmas gift I revived was a kitkat from my little boy. He wanted to give me a gift so he kept it from his pack lunch one day and kept it hidden until Christmas ❤️ he’s such a chocolate monster it must have taken so much self control.

  56. A good few years ago, my son saved all his pocket money for 6 months, and bought me a Kindle for Christmas. I’ve never been more proud of him!

  57. The best Christmas present I ever received was given to me early – it was a year’s subscription to the National Theatre At Home and it got me through the second lockdown
