Today I’m sharing 4 easy ways to earn money fast on The Sims Freeplay, without spending any of your own money. If you’re reading this post, chances are you’re exactly where I was last month. I’d been playing for 4 months and was getting frustrated at how slow it was to earn money to progress with the game. So I spent HOURS scouring the internet for the best ways to earn Simoleons, Lifestyle Points (LP) and Social Points (SP).
Now I’ve done that, it seems only fair to share the secrets I uncovered during my research… Firstly, there are three types of currency within the game… Simoleons are the main currency. Lifestyle Points (LP) are the secondary currency, and Social Points (SP) are the third method of payment your sims can use. You earn all of them in-game, and don’t have to pay to top up, (although that is an option, it’s pricey in my opinion).
So now we’ve cleared that up… Keep reading to find out how each is earned and how to get lifestyle points in sims freeplay.
How to Earn Lifestyle Points Fast on The Sims Freeplay
Lifestyle Points (LP) are the little yellow/gold coins / Plumbobs. They can be hard to earn, and are spent on speeding up some tasks, or buying some in-game items. Keep reading to learn how to get money on the sims freeplay.
As you play, you’ll earn a few Lifestyle Points each day, but will likely find yourself needing more very soon. The easiest way to earn them is to tap on the little gold LP icon at the top-centre of your screen, then either tap the “Earn LP” Icon in the top-right corner. (Shown on the screenshot below), or occasionally it’ll show on the main banner – like in the below screenshot. Either way, once you tap through, you’ll find a list of missions to complete to earn Lifestyle Points.

Some of the LP tasks are as simple as clicking through to a web page, while others involve you making a purchase, completing a survey or signing up to a free trial. In my experience, you can easily earn 10+ LP each day, just doing the click-through challenges, and lots more if you’re willing to do surveys or sign up to mailing lists or free trials. (The LP are usually applied to your account within 5 minutes of you completing the challenge. (You’ll need to open your mail to find them).
How to Earn Social Points Fast on The Sims Freeplay
Social points (SP) are the little purple coins / Plumbobs seen at the top of your Sims Freeplay game screen. They are mostly earned by visiting friends’ towns and interacting with their homes and Sims. To add your friends, you’ll need to sign into your game centre or Facebook account. It took me a while to bother doing this, and I wish I’d done it much sooner. When considering ways to earn money fast on The Sims Freeplay, this is a game changer!
Once I signed into Facebook, I realised I had one real-life friend who also played. While her town allowed me to complete most SP tasks, there were a few her town didn’t have the facilities to complete. I took this opportunity to look for The Sims Freestyle Facebook Groups, and was amazed at what I found! There are thousands of groups set up, just to help connect fellow players connect and progress through the game.

Adding them as Facebook Friends meant I could visit their towns and use their amazing facilities to complete the SP challenges quickly and easily, so I could master how to get money on the sims freeplay, and learn how to get lifestyle points in sims freeplay.
One of my favourite players is called Hannah Simmer. Her town is another level of amazing. She has a house literally called SP, which contains pretty much everything you could ever need to tick off a Social Point challenge and earn social points quickly! Using this house allows me to earn money fast on The Sims Freeplay SP missions. I now easily earn 10-15 SP per day.
Second Facebook Profile
If (like me), you don’t want The Sims Freestyle taking over your regular newsfeed, you may want to consider setting up a spare Facebook profile just to use for The Sims Feeestyle. I did just that. Feel free to send me a friends request if you need more friends to help you on your mission to earn money fast on The Sims Freeplay. Having friends on there is an essential part of how to get lifestyle points on sims freeplay.
How to Earn Simoleons Fast on The Sims Freeplay
When playing The Sims Freestyle, the thing I found most frustrating was how often I ran out of money. My poor Sims were working 7 days a week and still didn’t all have toilets in their houses at one point, never mind TVs or wallpaper! When I was visiting Hannah’s town to complete a Social Point task, I noticed one of her houses said CF. After browsing her page, I realised this stood for “Cake farm”, and had to stop by to see what was happening!
When this property loaded, I was 50% amazed and 50% unnerved by what I found. There were rows and rows of Sims stood in front of ovens, each with a completed cake on them. When I tapped on a cake, I was rewarded with $2500 Simoleons! This Cake Farm had 90 Sims and 90 cakes. So by the time I’d tapped on all 90 cakes, my Simoleon balance had increased by over $225,000! It took me under a minute to do that!

When I left this Cake Farm, I realised Hannah had another one with 89 cakes. Those earned me £222.500! So altogether I made almost $500,000 Simoleons in 2 minutes, and I spent no “real-life” money. Game Changer!
The best part… If you leave Hannah’s town and go home, you take those Simoleons with you. BUT… If you then go back to Hannah’s town, they’ll all be back, so you can make another $500,000! I love that long-time Simmers are doing this to help us newbies out.
What are Pet Farms in The Sims Freeplay?
Another way to earn Simoleons and Lifestyle Points when playing The Sims Freestyle is by tapping on the shovel or exclamation marks which occasionally pop up near pets. Some Simmers create pet farms, which are literally filled with pets, so you earn lots of cash and the occasional LP by sitting and tapping them.
Personally, I tend to only do this if all my Sims are busy and I’m killing time until my SP challenge is complete. If you tap Hannah’s huge Pet Farm for 5 minutes, you’re likely to earn roughly 2 LP and $10,000 Simoleons. Not the fastest way to earn simoleons on The Sims Freeplay, but every little helps, right?

So there you have it – 4 Great ways to earn money fast on The Sims Freeplay, without spending any of your own cash. Can you think of any more? Finally, let me know in the comments if you have any other ideas, or if you are also old enough to remember using MOTHERLODE on the original Sims game. P.S. Bella Goth was my favourite!
