This week, I am reviewing Magical Christmas Tales. It is a collection of Christmas stories, festive songs and poems.
The book is hardback and measures 255 x 203 mm. The ISBN is: 9781445441627
Magical Christmas Stories has an RRP of £12, but can be found online much cheaper. Make sure you shop around!
The pages are thick paper, but small hands will be able to tear them. The images are cheerful, and definitely help to bring the stories to life. I had heard several of the included stories before, but most of them were new to me. I would say they will appeal to children aged around 5+. My kids are still babies, and while they both enjoy my over enthusiastic reading of the Christmas stories, the images don’t seem to interest them a great deal – yet.
I bought this book a few years ago, as it has The night before Christmas in it – a must read for me on Christmas Eve!
The Clement C. Moore masterpiece is printed here over Four pages – two containing large font – perfect for children aged 6+ to read along with.
This book is definitely brilliant for reading in the weeks leading up to Christmas, and if you time it right, The night before Christmas can be your Christmas Eve bedtime story. (It is the final story in the book)!
This book is definitely going to be one I read to the Children for many years to come. The stories are perfect for building up the Christmas excitement. If you’re as much of a Christmas fan as I am, you will LOVE it!
I am tempted to buy another copy of it, so I can pass the book(s) on to the kids when they have families of their own – The stories (and Christmas Carols) are timeless, and I think this book will be just as adored in 30 years’ time as it is now.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough, and the bargain prices make it even more appealing!
I give it 5/5 for festive cheer!
This is not a sponsored post. I bought, I loved, I shared – Simples!
