If you follow me on social media, you’ll know that Syd has recently got into Ballet in a pretty big way. She kept asking me to teach some moves, but I am about as graceful as a bull in a china shop, so I did a search on Youtube and foundThe Wiggles – Emma’s Bowtiful Ballet Studio. Syd has since spent hours copying Emma Wiggle’s moves, and watching other fun clips from the show.
The Wiggles Are Coming To The UK
When I heard that The Wiggles were touring and coming to The Lowry as part of their UK tour, I knew we had to go! In case you’re not familiar with The Wiggles, here’s some background info…
The Wiggles are the world’s most popular children’s entertainment group which formed in Sydney, Australia in 1991. They have now been performing for over 26 years, and their show involves lots of singing, dancing, fun and games. The show is aimed at preschoolers, and the stage show is suitable for children aged 0-5.
Who Are They?
The Wiggles family is made up of Emma, Lachy, Simon and Anthony. They are touring England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales this July and August. The Wiggles will be bringing some familiar wiggly friends with them too. Including Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus!
Emma will be delighting fans with her ballet and Irish dancing. Anthony will be playing his bagpipes and Simon will be playing some “Simon Says”. If Lachy falls asleep, don’t forget to call out “Wake up Lachy!”.
The Wiggles have been entertaining children around the world for over 26 years. The Wiggles Big Show will feature some of their best loved songs including Hot Potato, Fruit Salad and Five Cheeky Monkeys.
The tour will be stopping in St Albans, Crawley, Saffron Walden, Basingstoke, Birmingham, Salford, Llandudno, Cardiff and Glasgow. You can find out more about the show and book your tickets here.
If you’re attending the Salford show, look out for us. I suspect Syd will be attending in her Ballet gear…!!
Disclaimer: We’ve been given 2 tickets to attend the show, but Syd really does love it.
