Hello! Welcome to this week’s Trendy Tot Thursday post. (AKA #TT_Thursday on twitter and instagram). This Children’s fashion photo linky co-hosted by @ClearlyBex and I. Bex is taking a much needed break from blogging this week, so I’m going solo for week 40…
I’d usually tell you about my favourite linked up outfit from last week at this point, but I’m a rubbish hostess… I haven’t looked at them all yet, so it’ll be a double whammy of compliments next week – promise! (I haven’t had much time this week, as we found out Sam’s not been offered the school place in the autism friendly primary school, so I have been drafting the appeal letter all week).
Anyway… Getting back to this week… If you read my #TT_Thursday posts regularly, you’ll know I love the Little Bird By Jools Oliver collection from Mothercare – It’s got a very Retro vibe & I cannot get enough of it! I had spent months trying to track down the socks for Syd, but hadn’t managed to get hold of them…
Until Christmas Day! Syd’s amazing auntie found some in Scotland and gave them to Syd for Christmas! (I may have cried with happiness when I saw them)!! I have been waiting semi patiently for it to get warm enough for Syd to wear them ever since….
SQUEE!! How funky/retro are the socks!! Sys’s wearing them with a white long sleeved Tee from Next & a skirt with braces which is also from the Little Bird collection at Mothercare – both of these items have been featured before, but I HAD to share the socks!! (Syd looks like she’s auditioning for the part of Gretal from the famous Fairy Tale doesn’t she? (Perhaps I need to get Sam some matching shorts so he can be Hansel…??)
Syd stopped to smell the flowers on her way to nursery on Monday, and I managed to get this snap…. I can’t decide if her socks or her actions were cuter…??
What do you think – can Syd pull off the retro look?
