Today I’m sharing my Build N Discover Tool Box review. As Leapfrog Ambassadors, we are regularly sent items to review. Last week, we were asked to do a Scout’s Build and Discover Tool Box review. This toy is aimed at children aged 2+, and comes with the batteries already installed. It has an RRP of £16.99 and encourages colour matching, number skills, problem solving, hand – eye co-ordination and following instructions.

Rather than spending ages trying to explain how the LeapFrog Build & Discover ToolBox works, I thought I’d show you instead, so here’s a video showing it in use.

Scout’s Tool Box by Leapfrog is so Cute!

It is safe to say 3 year old Syd loves this item. 4 year old Sam does too. They’ve spent hours playing with it – I have even caught them playing with it together a few times! Sam especially loves hammering the nails in, while Syd follows Scout’s instructions to assemble and disassemble his house.

My Thoughts

As a parent, I try my best to avoid gender specific toys. I try to avoid buying pink or blue items as much as possible. However, despite my best efforts, Syd seems to feel that Blue things are Sam’s and Pink items are hers. I was very happy that LeapFrog have avoided gender specific colours, and made this item something which appeals to both boys and girls.

I highly recommend the Leapfrog Build and Discover Tool Box.
