It’s no secret that I am a cake fan, and by default I love #GBBO. When Carr’s Foods got in touch to ask if I’d be interested in rdoing a Paul Hollywood Ready To Bake Rolls Review, I was happy to accept. Earlier this week, I received a selection of the rolls and a lovely reusable bag, branded with the Paul Hollywood logo.

As you can see, I received a batch of Crusty rolls, Seeded Rolls and Multi Seed Rolls. (Each batch contains 6 rolls). I am a huge fan of part baked rolls anyway, but these rolls were finished to a standard you’d expect from a “Master Baker”

Crusty Rolls

The Crusty Rolls have an RRP of £1.50 for 6, and are available from Tesco, Ocado and Waitrose. This is how they look in the packaging, straight after cooking and sliced…

The rolls look like plaited dough on both the top and bottom. They are really light, and crisp on the outside, while being soft on the inside – perfect for piling with scrambled egg and cracked pepper! (I forgot to get a photo of this – oops)!

The batch takes 8-10 minutes to cook, and if you sprinkle a little water on them, they go even crispier – Fab for the likes of me who loves crispy rolls!

The thing which amazed me the most was that each roll was just 140 calories and 0.5g of fat. Yes… seriously!

Multi Seed Rolls

The Multi seeded rolls also have an RRP of £1.50 per batch, and are available from Tesco, Ocado and Waitrose. They look like this immediately after cooking…

You get 3 part baked mixed seeded rolls, and 3 part baked mixed seeded rolls, topped with mixed seeds. The nutritional information from these is also good. I’m very impressed at how low the fat content is, considering the amount of seeds on these rolls.

Honestly… I’m not usually a fan of seeded breads, but these really surprised me. They were really tasty and light. (Usually, seeded breads are a bit heavy for my liking, but not these). I enjoyed a couple with a bowl of French Onion Soup…

They really were delicious! As I mentioned earlier, all the rolls were crispy on the outside and really soft and light on the inside. I took this photo to show you exactly how they look once sliced, immediately after cooking…

Firstly, I can say with 100% confidence that I will definitely buy both the crispy and the multi seeded rolls again! Additionally, I love the fact they have a good 6+ weeks shelf life too (before cooking). This means you can keep them in the cupboard on standby, and have delicious freshly baked bread any time you fancy, in just 10 minutes!

I haven’t tried the seeded rolls yet, but will update this review once I have.
