I can’t be the only one who is left feeling miserable when the Christmas Tree and decorations are packed away? Last week, I was feeling a bit down about the festivities being over. I was working my way through one of the kids’ selection boxes, when I received an email from the guys at Blossoming Gifts, saying they’d like to send me a bouquet of flowers, to help “banish your January Blues”. I was more than a little excited!
Banish Your January Blues
The next day, I arrived back from the school run and hubby presented me when a huge box. This is what it contained…
When I opened the box, the Cotton Candy Bouquet was wrapped in beautiful white paper. There was a lovely gift card popped inside the box. A wet bag was covering the stems, which ensured my flowers didn’t die in transit. When I removed the bag, there was a sachet of flower food attached to the stems.
Once I had trimmed back the stems and leaves a little, I popped them into my vase. (Admittedly, my vase was too tall for the bouquet, so I had to pop an upturned pint pot in the bottom of the vase to make it useable).
The bouquet is truly beautiful. I’ve had it for 7 days now, and the flowers are still going strong.
With an RRP of £37.00, this is definitely not a budget bouquet. However, it has £10 off the RRP this month, and you can use the discount code BGIFTS33 to get a further 33% off the price. I think that for £18, delivered, it’s a great value treat from Blossoming Gifts and can definitely help to Banish Your January Blues.
My only complaint is that I am not a master floral arranger, so my arrangement isn’t nearly as stunning as the website’s images (Pictured below). The bouquet is made up of Lilac scented freesia with white athena roses, long lasting textured carnations, yellow spray carnations and million stars gypsophila. It really is a joy to look at, and has definitely brightened up my kitchen.
I think that next time, I’ll have to add the Country Jug to my order. So I can try to make my flowers look even better on my windowsill. (The flowers and service were amazing… But perhaps having the bouquet delivered already arranged in the jug would help me to get around my mediocre flower arranging skills).
I was sent the bouquet for the purpose of this review, and I would definitely recommend the service.
