We are off to center parcs on Monday. To say I am excited would be the understatement of the year! I am excited, but also scared! It’s our first ever holiday with children. In fact, it’s our first ever night away from home with children – I didn’t even stay in hospital overnight when I had Syd!
I am wondering how on earth I am going to fit enough clothes, toys and food in the car along with the double pram. HELP!
I said months ago we should get a roof pod thing for the batmobile, but of course hubby said we would be fine. I can’t wait to see where he’s going to put the cases! (Remember Sud has a lot of allergies so we have to take Syd friendly food with us, as well as everything else you need for a 12m and a 24m old). Plus their bedding.
I predict a very stressful weekend ahead, followed by an amazing 5 day break in Sherwood Forest! Despite the packing woes, I am still beyond excited, and can’t wait to see what the kids make of it all. Sam will love the outdoors aspect. He loves nature. I just hope we get some dry days so he can run around and enjoy it.
Sam will love the pool too. Syd has never been swimming so the jury is still put on whether she will enjoy it or not!
I am dying to try the beds – everyone always seems to rave about how comfy the beds are – I just hope Syd sleeps for more than 2 hours in her cot there! Failing that, I shall be tucking her in with me and banishing hubby to one of the other bedrooms! (Sorry dear)!
So… To all the seasoned travellers… What are your must pack children’s items for UK breaks?
