When I was asked to host a Turbo Tong hair curler giveaway, I said yes immediately. If you aren’t familiar with the brand, that’s because they are new to the hair care scene. The Turbo Tong is sold at the Beauty Club London Salon, on Oxford Street. Their boutique salon has combined pre-drinks with pampering. You can get your hair, nails and make up done, while having a drink or three from their bar! Genius, right? It’s been dubbed the best pre party venue London has to offer.

What Are Turbo Tong Hair Curlers?
The venue is proving so popular, Boohoo, Sekonda and Space NK have all collaborated with this boutique salon. Their stylists are world-known in the hair extension, balayage and colouring industry. It was their work on Hair Extensions which lead them to develop Turbo Tong. Fed up of hair curlers not having long enough barrels to deal with long locks, they set to work creating their own, which they say is the best curling tong for long hair!
There are two different hair wands to choose from…
- The original Turbo Tong boasts a barrel which is 193mm long, and has a diameter of 26mm.
- The Turbo Tong X is perfect for extra long hair. It boasts a 205mm long barrel, with a diameter of 32mm.
For comparison, most hair tongs have a barrel that is 150mm long, so both of the Turbo Tong Barrels are considerably longer.
Both models heat up in 30 seconds, and offer variable temperature control from 60°C-230°C. This means you can choose the lowest temperature setting for your hair, which means less damage.
Both Turbo Tong Hair Curler Models Also Boast:
- Three-colour neon temperature indicator with a neon display for maximum heat control.
- Adjustable auto heat backup technology to protect the hair.
- negative ion emission, revitalising damaged hair leaving it smooth and silky.
- Cool touch finger grip for easy styling.
- Ceramic coating emitting negative ions, revitalising damaged hair, leaving it smooth and silky.
- Cable length 3m/UK plug with 360-degree swivel non-tangle cord.
- Auto switch-off if unused.
They are 230V ~ 50Hz 76W. The standard model has an RRP of £135, while the Turbo Tong X has an rap of £148.
How Good is the Turbo Tong Hair Curler?
