Today I’m sharing some gift ideas for geeky men. It’s no secret that I love a good gift guide. Not so long ago, I collated one for geeky women which has proved really popular, so I figured I’d put one together for the geeky men out there, too!
I’ve tried to include ideas to suit all budgets, so there should be something for everyone. Keep on reading for some great gift suggestions!
Experience Days
My partner is a BIG fan of steam trains. A couple of years ago, I got him a gift experience which included a tour of The Flying Scotsman, and the chance to go onto the footplate. He absolutely loved it, and it cost less than £15 per person, at our local steam railway.
If money was no object, a trip up to Scotland to ride the Jacobite Railway would be amazing too. (That’s home of Glenfinnan Viaduct – Made famous because the Hogwarts Express crossed it in the Harry Potter films. This post may be for gift ideas for geeky men, but plenty of women would love them too.
I’d love to get him a Steam Train Driving Experience Day, but I think I’ll have to sell a kidney first. (They start at £500 per person, so it’ll take ma a while to save up for that)!

Beard Care
If the geeky man in your life owns a beard, he is likely to love the Edinburgh Natural Skincare Co’s Jekyll and Hyde Natural Beard Balm. It acts as a leave-in conditioner which moisturises, conditions, softens and helps the wearer style their beard, without leaving surplus residue or that greasy feeling.
Other key benefits include the fact it nourishes the whiskers and the skin below. It offers deep hydration and protection from breakages. This beard balm strengthens hair, helps control scraggly beard hair and keeps it looking shiny and smooth. The pot may be small but I suspect it’ll last at least a couple of months, depending how unruly the beard in question is.
If you’re looking for gift ideas for geeky men who don’t own a beard, you may want to consider the Edinburgh Natural Skincare Co’s Hunter’s After Shave Moistering Balm for Gentlemen. This 100g pot is formulated using the finest natural ingredients, and a little goes a long way.

All Edinburgh Natural Skincare Co are made in Scotland, and cruelty free, so these are a great gift idea for recipients who care about supporting UK businesses and keeping animals safe.
Liquid Refreshments
Whether the geeky man in your life is a fan of alcohol or not, there’s a drink to make them smile. I recently discovered Contact Coffee Co, and have to share it here! Imagine the convenience of teabags, but for freshly ground coffee, and you’re pretty much there.
Contact Coffee bags allow you to indulge in freshly brewed coffee’s rich aroma and bold flavour, anytime, anywhere. Each Single Serve Brew Bag is filled with perfectly ground coffee that will give you the boost you need on your journey. They recently gifted me a couple of boxes and a mug, and I have to say… I’m a convert!
Red on is super high on the caffeine front, so perfect if you need a real kick in the morning. Battle prep is 3/5 on the strength front, so better as an everyday drink. To make it, you simply steep the coffee bag in boiling water for 5 minutes, before adding your preferred sweetener, and / or milk, then enjoy!

They are brilliant gift ideas for geeky men who spend a lot of time outdoors, or work on building sites. I absolutely love the ethos of this brand and the story behind its origin. So whether you’re looking for a £5 stocking filler or a coffee subscription gift idea, definitely have a look at Contact Coffee Co!
PS: If anyone wants to get me the Contact Coffee advent calendar this year… I won’t be mad about it!
Cool Gadget Gifts
We all know someone who loves a gadget, but nobody loves them more than us geeks! So it’s only fair I include some of my favourites here:
Beetlejuice Controller or Phone Holder
Who doesn’t love Beetlejuice? When I saw this Beetlejuice Cable Guys Controller and Phone Holder, I had to include it. With an RRP of £29.99, it’s a substantial gift.

It’s heavy enough to safely hold my iPhone 14 Pro, and it can carry an Xbox controller, but not a Nintendo Switch. Do you know anyone who’d love to have something this cool to hold their device while it’s charging? It’s definitely one of the best gift ideas for geeky men who love movies that I’m sharing today.
Connex Cable Adaptor
When I saw the Connex Cable Adaptor, I knew my partner would absolutely love it. Imagine a pocket knife style gift, but instead of mini tools, it’s packed with different types of charging cables, in one neat pocket tool design, measuring 95mm wide x 31mm deep x 19mm tall and weighing 875g.
It allows you to charge from USB, Micro-USB and USB-C power sources, and can connect to USB-C and Lightning devices. So no more carrying multiple leads and plugs when you travel! Hooray! With an RRP of £29.99, this is a great gift idea for the geeky man (woman, or kid) in your life.

Fragrance
I know quite a few geeky men, and one thing they all seem to love is a good fragrance. Whether it’s wax melts, in-car fragrances, plug-ins or aftershave, there really are some great options out there.
If you’re considering aftershave, I’d definitely recommend you check out parfumdreams. I found some fab deals when a friend recommended it to me last week. Have a look here, to see for yourself.
The great thing about fragrance gifts is there’s plenty of options for all price points. A nice reed diffuser for their desk will cost under £10, or you can really spoil the recipient, and buy them a luxury aftershave like Creed, which will set you back hundreds of pounds. There’s plenty of wonderful options available for under £30 too though.
When it comes to home fragrance, there are loads of gift ideas for geeky men you can consider. Searching for their favourite aftershave can lead you to similar smelling home fragrances. Alternatively, if they love being outdoors, why not consider plant based fragrances, to help them feel at one with nature, even when they are stuck at home. Who says that gift ideas for geeky men can’t small good? Not me!
Lego
It’s no secret that I absolutely love Lego – Did you see the Lego Wall I made? Many geeky men do too, and those who claim not to, probably haven’t been bought one of the Lego Modular buildings.

My ex husband wasn’t a Lego fan. He rolled his eyes when I announced one rainy Sunday, pre kids that I wanted to go and buy a lego set. Then he got stuck in and hasn’t looked back.
A lot of the kits are investments too. Some of the sets I got him when we were married have trebled in value since. It’s crazy to think that Lego was invented in 1958, and is as popular today as the most modern toys.
The best thing about Lego is there are gift options available to suit all budgets. A £5 keyring of the recipient’s favourite superhero is a great stocking filler, while the £700+ Millennium Falcon is an amazing gift for a Star Wars fan, if your budget is as vast as the universe!
Comic Books
This is probably a huge cliche, but my brother loves comic books. He used to collect them as a kid, but got rid of them years ago. Wolverine is his favourite, and I’d love to get him the X-Men comic from his month and year of birth for his next big birthday. I think he’d love that. I’m thinking it would look brilliant framed, on his wall.

The comic in question is currently selling for around £150 on eBay, so it may not be an option if your budget is limited. I’ll definitely need to save up if I opt to buy this particular item from my gift ideas for geeky men round-up. Just in case anyone reading this is wondering, Batman’s my favourite and I’m 40 this month. *cough cough*
Slogan T-shirts
Who doesn’t love a slogan tee? Sheldon Cooper is the king of Slogan Tees and he is definitely a geeky man. I’m not saying every geeky man loves a slogan t-shirt of course, but many do! You can get t-shirts for many geeky tv shows, books and games now. My brother absolutely loved The Princess Bride one I got him a few years back.
Superhero slogans and logo Tees are often a good choice too. My ex husband wore an, “I am the stig” t-shirt for years, in honour of his Top Gear obsession.
Final Thoughts on Gift Ideas for Geeky Men
So there we have it! The 5 gift ideas for geeky men I thought I’d share. It’s important to remember that each person is different, so these may not work for everyone. Finally, let me know in the comments if you can think of any other gift ideas for geeky men, such as this collection of Gift Baskets for Men.
