Trendy Tot Thursday – Week 11

Welcome to week 11 of Trendy Tot Thursday (We use the
#TT_Thursday hashtag too). If you haven’t taken part before, it’s probably worth checking out my intro post. If you’re a regular reader/contributor…. jump right in and read, comment and share your own #TT_Thursday post below.

My favourite outfit which was shared last week was Wave To Mummy‘s beautiful flea market finds. I especially loved the Kappahl shirt!

This week, I am sharing the beautiful Kilt my Mum bought for Syd. It was £10 from Tesco and came with the tights also pictured! I teamed it with a basic white long sleeved tee from Mothercare. This was around £3 I think. She insisted on wearing her £5 white Matalan shoes with the outfit – not my choice of shoe for this look, I have to say!

The skirt has a beautiful buckle detail to the side. I tucked her top in to try to get this on camera, but it’s not very clear. The skirt it also lined, and really warm. She’s worn it with ankle socks a couple of times too, so it’s still brilliant on the warmer Autumn days as well as the cold ones. My mum is Scottish, and couldn’t resist buying this kilt for Sydney when she saw it. I used to wear a lot of these type of skirts as a kid, but mine had vests attached to them. Remember those?

I don’t think the top goes particularly well with the skirt, and I’ve got her a plain cream one from Next since these photos were taken. That goes much better with the cream tights and cream detail on the skirt.

These photos were taken at an Autism meet up by the way – the bricks are made of rubber. Sam & Syd were building a wall from them! Thought I’d better clarify that in case you thought I had them building me an extension or something!
