This past month, things have been very quiet on my blog. So today I’m sharing why I’ve been giving you all the silent treatment. The reason why is life…
February is always a hard month for me, as my Dad died on Valentines Day. Seeing all the flowers, cards and advertising everywhere is a constant reminder of what happened on 14th February 2007.
Why I’m Giving My Blog The Silent Treatment
In between that, the kids both had tummy bugs one after the other, then I got their wonderful lurgy. Half Term came around, and with it, I got Tonsillitis and a throat infection. That put me out of action for the best part of another week.
The kids are back in school now, and I am trying to get back into the swing of things. However, it’s proving hard to get my blogging mojo back. I’m hoping that by writing myself a (huge) to-do list, I can tick off all of the things I am behind with.
So… for now, I have to share Sydney’s most recent beautiful hair do… She asked for curly hair, so I dug out my old curling wand, and this was the result…
She sat so nicely while I curled it all, and she looked like a princess – for about 10 minutes, until she asked for her pigtails back in. Super cute though, yes…?
So, huge apologues for giving my readers the silent treatment. Grief and bereavement are funny things. I hope that one year it’ll get easier, and that anniversaries will be less painful. I’m still waiting though. For now, I’m focussing on myself and my close family. I need to soak some happiness then I’ll hopefully be back full throttle.
Finally, why not check out more of my bereavement blog posts here.
