I was recently sent a Medela breast care set to review once Robyn arrived.
I decided to pack it in my hospital bag, as it contained everything I would need in the early days of breastfeeding.
The set contains: 2 hydrogel breast pads, 15 disposable bra pads and 7g of Purelan nipple cream. It is all Medela branded, and comes in a really pretty, Yellow toiletries bag.
The gel pads were great for soothing my nipples when they became sore from feeding. The Purelan cream soothed my sore, cracked nipples and provided a 100% natural barrier between my nipple and the baby while she fed. This gave my nipples a chance to heal, and prevented them becoming sorer in the early, very intense days before my milk came in. The bra pads stopped my bra rubbing my nipples when they were sore, and
they absorbed a decent amount of milk once it came in, too.
The kit is the perfect gift for any mum to be who intends to breastfeed. I will certainly recommend it to friends, and buy them for mums to be as baby shower gifts in the future.
I give the kit 5/5 and think the £15.99 RRP is reasonable, too.
This is not a sponsored post. I was sent the Medela breast care set to review, but all words and opinions are my own.
