Since I got my iPhone 7, I have been looking forward to trying out some wireless earphones. When Sudio asked me to review a set of their Rose Gold Vasa Blå Wireless Earphones, I was very excited! If, like me you have teeny weeny ear holes, you’ll want to read this review!
Sudio Vasa Blå Wireless Earphones
The Vasa Blå wireless earphones offer 8 hours of wireless playback and a 10 minute fast charge feature. Rather than spending ages showing you what’s inside the box, I made this little video so you can see for yourself.
The Vasa Blå wireless earphones have a range of 10 metres, so you don’t have to carry your device around with you. They connect using Bluetooth 4.1 and weigh just 14 grams! The box contains 5 different sets of ear buds – including really small ones which were a perfect fit for me! In Ear buds usually fall out of my ears as soon as I move, but these stayed put for over 3 hours, while I danced round the house to Ed Sheeran – They are comfortable to wear, too.
Pairing wireless earphones
Pairing the earphones to my iPhone 7 was simple to do. Firstly, I charged the wireless earphones. Secondly, I switched the bluetooth on on my iPhone then pressed and held the play button on the earphones until the lights flashed. Finally, my iPhone then found and connected to the earphones. Then Ed Sheeran travelled as if by magic from my phone speaker to my earphones!
The Vasa Blå earphones can also be used to take calls, thanks to the tiny built in microphone. You just press the play button on the earphones remote to answer the call, then you can talk while your phone stays in your pocket!
The remote on the earphones features a play/pause button, a + and a – button. These can be used for changing the volume by pressing quickly. Additionally, you can skip to the next track by pressing and holding for 2 seconds. To charge your earphones fully, they need around 2 hours connected to the USB charger which is included. This will give you around 8 hours of use or 10 days on standby.
I’m not going to pretend to understand the technical information, but here’s what Sudio say about the device’s audio output… “The Vasa Blå sound signature is delivered by a carefully tuned driver and amplifier. The combination of driver and amplifier is able to separate the sound of every instrument in every song, thereby giving the listener a true studio experience.”
Type: 10,2 mm Dynamic Speaker
Sensitivity: 112 dB SPL @ 1 kHz
Impedance: 32 Ohm @ 1kHz
Frequency Response: 18 Hz – 23 kHz
I don’t understand what any of the above specs actually means, but here’s what I thought of the earphones…
My Thoughts On The Vasa Blå wireless earphones
Firstly, the sound quality was excellent when the volume was high and low. Secondly, the connectivity was great. Additionally, the earphones didn’t lose connection once in the 5 hours I tested them for before writing this review. I only tend to use earphones to listen to my music when I am doing chores at home, so the wireless earphones were a big help. It was nice not having to worry about where my phone was when I was bleaching the bathroom!
I’m not a runner so I can’t say for certain they’d stay in your ears when running BUT… They did stay put while I was dancing round the bathroom, and rushing up and down the stairs with piles of ironing.
The leather storage pouch is a lovely bonus and a great way to keep your earphones safe between uses. I opted for the white and rose gold option, but they are also available in black, blue and pink. You can browse the full range here. With an RRP of £79.99, they aren’t cheap, but it really is a case of “you get what you pay for”. All told, I love my new earphones. They are sleek, discreet, comfortable and my music sounds perfect. Two big thumbs up from me! Finally, check out more of my reviews here.
