A while back, a couple of people on my Facebook friends list started selling Younique products. After seeing one too many photos of people with lashes which resembled barbed wire, I was never really a fan of the mascara. I always wondered whether they were more Younique or Poonique. When the Mineral Touch foundation came out, I was curious; but not brave (or rich) enough to splash out £70 to try the Trio Set I wanted.
Younique or Poonique
Luckily for me, I won a set in a raffle, and it arrived this week. Having used the concealer and liquid foundation, I wanted to share that it’s actually good stuff, and I am definitely a fan.
Honestly… I was hoping it would be awful and I’d be able to tell people to save their money. Unfortunately (for my bank balance but not my face)… it was brilliant, and I have already bookmarked half a dozen more items I want to buy.
My only gripe with Younique is that you can’t just pop down to the shops to try it. You have to order, wait weeks and weeks for it to arrive, and then try it. Granted, you can return it for a full refund if you’re not happy, but it’s all a bit long winded in my opinion.
Have you tried Younique? What did you think?
EDIT FOR 2019:
I no longer use Younique products as they are now owned by a company who test some of their products on animals. Although they claim no Younique products are tested on animals, I don’t want to line their pockets. Younique is not cruelty free in my eyes.
For that reason, the answer to my Younique or Poonique question is: POONIQUE!
