On Sunday, Sam and I headed down to Smiggle Manchester, in Manchester Arndale. We were there to check out the new G’Day UK product range, and see the new store. If you haven’t heard of Smiggle before, they are an Australian Stationery company. The name came about because the store is a place where “a smile meets a giggle”.

Smiggle Manchester

My son, Sam has autism and he loved exploring the Smiggle Manchester store. He got stuck right in, and gave lots of items a try. The staff were all fab with him as well. One team member made him the doggie he is holding in the top-centre photo. He spent ages playing with it.

I loved the fact the staff didn’t mind children exploring the stock. They took time to show us how items worked too, which was brilliant. Sam was so taken with the Pin Art Hexagon and Mini snake puzzle, that I have ordered them online. Once they arrive, I’m going to wrap them and pop them into his Christmas stocking. (I’m trying to be organised this year)!

G’Day Smiggle

Once we’d had a good look around the store, we were all given an epic smoothie from Boost and a fab cupcake. They were so yummy! While I was busy inhaling these, we were shown the new G’Day UK range. This collection was launched to celebrate Smiggle’s successful leap from Australia to the UK. It features a super cute Blue Koala and a gorgeous Pink Kangaroo. I managed to put my smoothie down for long enough to snap this picture of the range.

I’ve taken a particular shine to the Koala themed items. So I suspect I’ll find myself back in the Smiggle store soon, picking up some other items from the range. (The lockable diary may have to be bought for my niece’s 8th birthday later this month).

While we were in Smiggle Manchester, we got to have a sneaky peek at the new Camo range which is launching later this month…

Smiggle Manchester Camp Range

I loved the fact that each design was made up of other pictures, camouflaged within the print. There were sharks hidden in the mostly blue items, ghosts in the black and green design. Additionally, there were butterflies in the pink and blue fabric, and flowers in the purple pieces. I was very taken by the headphones – which play at a reduced noise level to protect little ears. The fishy print was my favourite overall – which do you like the best?

After perusing the collections, it was time to say goodbye. We received a fab Smiggle goodie bag, which had loads of goodies inside – including these beauties…

Smiggle goodies

The G’Day UK Scented Eraser collection costs £4.50. It contains 4 tiny erasers. The Kangaroos have teeny weeny Joeys in their pouches, which are removable. The details really is amazing! They are far too cute to actually use though! The G’Day UK Koala Pencil Case costs £11.50 and holds loads of stationery. The 10 pack of pens is no longer available to buy online, so I’m not sure on the price.

Sam and I had a brilliant time down at the Manchester Andale Smiggle store, and will definitely be shopping there more often. I’m looking forward to checking out the Bury store as soon as possible too. Finally, why not check out more of our Smiggle content here.
