A Bad Day Turned Good

Recent weeks have been very stressful. Between Breastfeeding issues, Colic, Sam cutting Molars, etc it has been a trying time for the Geek family. On Friday, I had what was quite possibly the worst day so far with the children. Sam was in Molar teething hell, and up from 4am, Sydney was screaming non stop, thanks to constipation and I was basically a blubbering, hormonal mess. I know it was a bad day as one of the neighbours stopped me outside and offered to take one of the kids for a while to give me a break. (I politely declined). I don’t know said neighbour very well – he thinks I am called Linda…!

Anyways, after a hideous day stuck at home trying in vain to split myself in half so I could soothe both of my crying babies at the same time, I was down right miserable. So much so, I was beginning to think it could possibly be PND. The kids’ bath and bedtime could not come fast enough. Once they were bathed, I was sat on my bed giving Sam his milk while hubby sat beside me trying (in vain) to soothe a colicy Sydney. I picked up my phone to check my emails only to find…

…an email from Toys R Us saying my application to become a Toyologist had been successful! This means that over the next 3 months, we will be sent toys suitable for children aged 0-3 to test and review for Toys R Us! I am so excited about it. It was just the pick me up I needed. I think I may enjoy it even more than the kids will haha!! (I LOVE toys)!! DaddyGeek is pretty excited as well.

I don’t know all of the details yet, but should find out more in the next couple of days. In the meantime – EEK!!

I am a 2012 Toys R Us Toyologist! (On the Purple Team)!!

Any other Purple Toyologists out there?!
