Last week, Charlotte over at me the man and the baby made me broody! She was rockin’ some gorgeous hand-me-downs from her big brothers. Syd used to wear a lot of Sam’s old stuff when she was small, and I loved it! Now they are bigger, Sam’s stuff is mostly worn out by the time he outgrows it, so she doesn’t have many hand me downs now.
This week, I am sharing another of Syd’s outfits. (Sam mostly wears his nursery uniform these days, so it’s harder to get a decent photo of him). Here goes…
Syd’s rockin’ the Little Bird cord skirt and braces (£13-£15) from Mothercare, a roll neck jumper (£4) and some tights – both from George. She is also wearing her M&S shoes, previously featured.
I have to say, this is the first item from the Little Bird range I haven’t been over the moon with. The braces can be removed, but they aren’t adjustable, and there’s no stretch to them, so they don’t stay up – at all. In the end, we just let them droop down behind Syd. Not quite the look I was hoping for, but still cute. The skirt is fully lined with the ditsy material shown in their photos – Syd’s sat awkwardly so you can’t see it hanging just longer than the green hem. It is beautiful though. The skirt waistband is elasticated, but not adjustable.
The top was a bargain at £4. I have bought Syd a few to wear underneath her many pinafore dresses to keep her toasty on cold days. It’s ribbed and washed lovely.
