It’s day 12 of Blogtober, and today’s prompt is: “Loving these right now”. With that in mind, I am going to tell you all about what I am enjoying doing and watching at the moment when I get a little bit of “me time”…
The kids have been back at school for 4 weeks now, and life is beginning to settle back into its routine. I am still loving walking the dogs as much as possible, and am also enjoying being able to take a little time out for myself. I went off to Ordsall Hall to get my History fix last week, and loved every minute of it. (I blogged about that for day 7). It seems like such a treat being able to drink a hot cup of tea in peace, after 6 weeks of being “on duty” 24/7. Honestly, I forgot how tiring it is! Teachers deserve far larger salaries than they get – that’s for sure! I’l loving these moments for a little “me time” I have been able to find.
In between planning all of the Blogtober posts, I have been thinking about Half Term, Halloween, Christmas and next Summer. I’ve heard lots of good things about cruises with Bolsover Club, and am hoping I can convince hubby to jump aboard and set sail with the kids for a nautical adventure next year. I’m sure Syd would love the PJ Parties, Pizza nights, movie nights and no grown ups allowed kids club! The big dilemma is whether I could leave the dogs or not…!
Syd and I have got tickets for the Harry Potter Convention in Manchester at the end of this month too…. I am super excited about that, and busy planning outfits. I think a trip to Primark for Harry Potter inspired outfits will definitely be necessary very soon!
I usually always have a book on the go, but I have been so busy, that I haven’t been reading. That’ll all change tonight though, as Rachel Abbot’s latest book, “And So It Begins” was released yesterday, and I have downloaded it ready to read! I have read all of her books, and enjoyed every one. If you like crime thrillers, definitely give her a whirl! There’s nothing better than collapsing with a hot brew and a good book on my kindle when I can squeeze in a few minutes of me time.
The Man In The High Castle is back on Prime Video! Season 3 dropped on Monday and we’ve made good progress with it. This season is slower than previous ones and much more “long game” plots. It’s as though the producers have realised it’s going to be around for a while, rather than a one season thing, so they have switched pace. The story is beginning to become clearer now and I am definitely still enjoying it. Also: The theme tune for The Man In The High Castle has been bouncing around in my head for 2 years now! Click the link if you’re brave enough! Hubby has been watching that with me too. I have been indulging in Grey’s Anatomy or #GBBO when I get an evening to myself. Can’t beat some cheesy tv “me time”!
What’s new in your world? I’d love to know what you’re loving at the moment. Is there a new TV show or book you’ve been glued to? Tell me all about it in the comments!
